The UAE’s very own rock band, Juliana Down, will be performing live at Aloft Abu Dhabi on Friday 4 October at the finale of the Live at Aloft Hotels – Spotlight Series in Abu Dhabi.

The first ever Aloft Abu Dhabi Music Festival kick-offs at 4pm and will continue well into the early hours with up-and-coming UAE bands performing their own material spliced with classic covers, some of the city’s hottest DJs, and a finale performance by Juliana Down - including a performance of their new single ‘Love Tomorrow’.

Live at Aloft Hotels – Spotlight Series is an initiative of the Aloft Hotels, the fast-growing brand from Starwood Hotels & Resorts. This music series is part of the brand’s growing global music programming. Live at Aloft Hotels – Spotlight Series was launched in Abu Dhabi this September and is now moving on to Aloft Hotels in Brussels, London and Bursa later this year.

During the festival, held at the Splash Garden at Aloft Abu Dhabi, Juliana Down will be joined by UK singer/songwriter Leanna Kerry, acoustic performer Jeremiah John and the Lucky Strikes, RnB Hip Hop act N1yah and Sasha and funk rockers Bull Funk Zoo. After Juliana Down have played what is guaranteed to be a storming set, DJ Jam K will keep the party rocking till midnight.

Aloft Abu Dhabi teamed up with Juliana Down to host a number of events as a part of the Live at Aloft Hotels – Spotlight Series. The series in Abu Dhabi began with an exclusive event on September 18 with Juliana Down performing an acoustic session on an Aloft-branded catamaran, in conjunction with Belevari Marine, along the Abu Dhabi corniche. The following week, the band collaborated with local graffiti artists Sya and Bow to create unique works of art in the hotel. On September 27, Juliana Down will be teaming up with Liquid’s resident DJ’s for an electrifying live performance at Aloft’s pool.

Based in the UAE, Juliana Down have opened for some of the world’s best known artists including Muse, Guns N’ Roses and Maroon 5. In March 2011, Juliana Down became the first band from the UAE to be signed to a major record label, sealing a distribution deal with Sony Music Middle East. They have recently been nominated for the MTV EMA’s for best act in Middle East and Africa.
