A unique body contouring treatment is now on offer at the newly-opened DNA Center for Integrative Medicine & Wellness – the state-of-the-art facility in the, “The Collection”, the high end retail complex of The St.Regis Saadiyat Island Resort.
The center’s bio-aesthetics unit, developed and setup by Hollywood’s renowned Bio-Aesthetician to the Stars, Jamie Sherill, is now offering the only i-lipo Xcell – the third generation i-lipo technology - treatment to be publicly available for the first time in the Arabian Gulf.
i-lipo Xcell is the world’s most advanced, non-surgical, fat reduction and body shaping system which combines four technologies – dual wavelength laser, near infrared vacuum massage, multi-wave length body analysis and multi-polar radiofrequency – all in one treatment.
“This is one of the most popular treatments in Jamie Sherill’s Santa Monaco beauty spa among Hollywood stars and celebrities because it allows patients to target specific areas which require contouring and is an alternative to liposuction,” explained Nurse Dorrie Emrick, who heads the DNA Bio-Aesthetics clinic on Saadiyat Island.
In true DNA integrated style, 8 sessions each lasting one-hour is recommended. For optimal results, the program is delivered over 4 weeks with two sessions per week. It begins with the center’s qualified physicians carrying out an evaluation including bio-impedance analysis of the patient to determine the individual’s body analysis, such as their muscle-to-fat ratio, fluid distribution, water retention patterns and integrity of cells.
“This enables us to advise on additional measures for long-term solutions such as dietary changes,” explained Dr.Joshua Berka, DNA’s US-qualified naturopathic doctor. “The entire treatment is aimed at helping patients lose inches, not necessarily pounds or kilos, as muscle mass can be built up. We don’t look upon this as a weight loss program but a program that changes the body composition.”
The painless treatment begins with pads being attached to the concerned body area, which deliver radio frequency signals so that the cells release toxins and water.
This is followed by the I-Lipo treatment which drains the lympathic system and the Bemer radio frequency treatment which pushes the fat and tightens the skin. A final dusting down of oxygen brightens the skin.
“The best effect is attained when guests follow each session up with 30 minutes exercise and drink plenty of water to wash the fat out of their lympathic system,” explained Maliha Ashraf, the Bio-Aesthetics Clinic Manager.
