Total UAE has announced it would co-sponsor Abu Dhabi’s third science festival which will be held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi’s crown prince and deputy supreme commander of the UAE armed forces.
The decision to co-sponsor the event, to be organized by the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee, stems from Total UAE’s “philosophy to support technology and encourage UAE nationals to join scientific studies to contribute to building a science and technology-based society,” Total UAE Vice President Mr Sultan Al Hajji said.
“We have the pleasure to participate in sponsoring this important event, which is part of that Committee’s strategic initiatives intended to encourage the young generation to join scientific and useful events.”
He said Total UAE is keen to contribute to Abu Dhabi government’s efforts to support talented citizens, adding that the company is co-sponsoring this event for the third year running with the aim of “developing the exploration spirit within our children and encourage them to embark on scientific and innovative studies including medicine and engineering.”
Organizers said they expected the third edition of the festival to be larger and more interesting than last year’s event, which attracted more than 120,000 visitors.
