European International College Attracts 100% Locals For MBA Program
(23 September 2013)
EIC grooms UAE nationals as future business leaders through relevant MBA education

Abu Dhabi-based European International College (EIC) has revealed a 100 per cent Emirati enrolment in its MBA program for Fall of this year. Known for specializing in academic programs on hospitality management, tourism and business-related courses, EIC is offering the MBA program for the first time this year and seeks to ensure that students are provided with the best education and training to develop the business leaders of the future.

EIC’s MBA program attracted students with a range of backgrounds, mostly with business undergraduate degrees, with some working in government agencies or private companies and others running their own businesses. The varied professional and educational backgrounds bring multiple perspectives to the program, which will give the students invaluable learning, not only through EIC’s expertise, but by sharing real-world experiences amongst the students themselves.

Asma Al Fahim, Vice President of European International College, said, “One of EIC’s main goals is to help nurture the young talents who are tomorrow’s leaders, and support them with the right knowledge they need to succeed. We are proud to have attracted UAE nationals to our MBA program. They are the nation’s future business leaders, and we at EIC are happy that we are given the opportunity to help develop these leaders and equip them with the relevant and necessary expertise to sustain the efforts of a more progressive country.”

Experts agree that with the booming UAE economy, there is a greater need for educated and highly-skilled business leaders to sustain the progress. Aside from this, the country’s leaders has called for the promotion of a culture of entrepreneurship among the young UAE nationals to develop a more dynamic economy that will give greater benefit to future generations.

“Business education is one of the best ways to foster the skills of the managers. We developed a comprehensive MBA program where in students will be exposed to all facets of running a business – finance, analytics, corporate governance, audits, CSR, marketing, sales, communication – and provide them with analytical skills, while staying relevant and gaining practical insights from our expert faculty members,” Al Fahim added.

Duly accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research in the UAE, EIC offers a wide range of courses on today’s most in-demand skills, attracting 48 different nationalities across all programs. Among EIC’s accredited programs are: Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) with concentration in hotel management and tourism; Bachelors Degree in Hospitality (offered in cooperation with Switzerland’s “César Ritz” Colleges); Associate Degree in Business Administration; and a Diploma in Hospitality Management & Tourism. EIC also has a standing partnership with Niagara College, Canada and American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA).
