Colonel Juma Salem Ali, Acting Director General of Civil Defense in Abu Dhabi, honored distinguished firefighter MajedGhanem Al Mansouri, in recognition of his dedication and courage in discharging his duties, and his commitment to observe precautionary requirements. He also wished him a full recovery, after sustaining a minor injury while extinguishing a fire that broke out in a residential house in the Shamikha region.
Colonel Ali praised the firefighter’s efforts in the line of duty, underscoring the important and major role of firefighters in rescuing people and saving property from fire incidents. The honoring was attended by Lt. Colonel Hamad Al Riyami, Director of Civil Defense centers in Abu Dhabi, and First Lieutenant Humaid Al Ali, Director General’s Office Manager.
He added: “Firefighters handle fires with high professionalism and unrivaled cooperation. They carry out their tasks with diligence and determination, regardless of the associated risks, particularly the fire intensity and toxic fumes. Yet they enter burning buildings determined to contain the flames, rescue people and maintain property.”
The honoring embodies the Abu Dhabi Directorate General of Civil Defense’s methodology aimed at motivating staff members and acknowledging their efforts at all operational levels.
