In a ceremony held in his office, Brigadier HamadAjlan Al Amimi honored the officers, non-commissioned officers and civilians who were instrumental in guaranteeing the success of the project aimed at qualifying the directorate to obtain the Environmental Management System Certification (ISO 14001) and the Occupational Health and safety System Certification (OHSAS 1800) for 2013.
Brigadier Al Amimi thanked the achieving team members for their dedicated efforts in discharging their duties. He reiterated the directorate’s commitment to adhere and implement the highest standards of health and safety for its staff members and customers alike, and to promote environmental protection and resource efficiency, in pursuance of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s plan in this regard.
For his part, Lt. Colonel HarebHaderKhamis Al Amimi, in charge of the Environmental Management, Green Applications, Health and Occupational Safety Methodology at the Al Ain Police Directorate indicated that the directorate has set a number of goals and strategies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for its staff members. It has also sought to regularly review all practices and procedures that may affect their safety and health in the workplace. “The directorate is also committed to organizing educational health seminars with the participation of the Medical Services Section, to enhance the level of knowledge of its staff members and partners with respect to environmental management and occupational health and safety issues,” Al Amimi added.
It is noteworthy that this honoring reflects the Al Ain Police Directorate’s keenness to motivate all personnel to boost outstanding performance in police work.
