H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, took part in the events organized by the Abu Dhabi Police as part of its awareness campaign titled “Students’ Safety is Everyone’s Responsibility”. During his visit to Al Bawadi Mall in Al Ain, His Highness distributed traffic-related school gifts and items bearing awareness slogans and tips for students about the golden rule of riding the school bus.

Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police noted that by participating in the campaign’s events, His Highness supports the significant efforts of Abu Dhabi Police to improve drivers’ behavior, and promote traffic awareness to ensure traffic safety for students during the new school year.

“Such events are in pursuance with the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s strategy and its outreach plan. It is also part of the plan implemented by Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate to spread traffic culture, and engage the community role to provide traffic security,” added Al Harithi.

Brigadier Al Harithi stressed that the traffic awareness programs organized by the Public Relations Branch at the Al Ain Traffic Section affiliated to the Traffic and Patrols Directorate underscores the attention dedicated by the directorate to interact with the various segments of society in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, particularly with students during the new school year.
