Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Vice Chairman of the Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA), received three ISO certificates obtained by EIDA from the British Standards Institution (BSI).
The Deputy Head of Mission, British Embassy, Paul Fox, officially handed over the three certificates to Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The certificates were an ISO 9001 - Quality Management System, the International Customer Service Standard (TICSS) certificate, and the ISO 27001 - Information Security Management System.
His Highness lauded the EIDA team’s efforts, which resulted in obtaining these three certificates. HH called employees to continue efforts that would lead to sustainable institutional excellence in overall performance and service quality. This embodies the government’s strategy to make the United Arab Emirates one of the best countries in the world by 2021.
Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, EIDA’s Director General, and Ahmed Al Khatib, Director of the British Authority for Standardization and Metrology in the Middle East and Africa, attended the awarding ceremony.
Dr. Al Khouri emphasized that EIDA’s success in receiving international certificates is a realistic translation of the leadership’s excellence. He reiterated that the organization follows its way to reach performance excellence in governmental services, and to achieve a leading position worldwide, according to the UAE Vision 2021 and the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.
For his part, the representative of the British Authority for Standardization and Metrology, Ahmed Al Khatib, confirmed that EIDA’s achievement of these globally-adopted regulations reflects the commitment to strengthen its infrastructure on an ongoing basis, its dedication to adopt the latest standards of excellence and quality, and the application of global best practices. These measures ensure the achievement of the general framework for institutional excellence requirements.
Al Khatib congratulated the leadership and management of the EIDA and its executives for this achievement, which is a continuation of its empowered journey towards improvement by providing its customers innovative, smart, and safe services at an international level.
