At a press conference held earlier today, Abu Dhabi Airports announced apartnership agreement with Al Ain Football Club, the current UAE league champions. The ceremony was hosted by Al Ain Club Investment Company (AACIC), the owners and operators of the Club’s assets.

As per the agreement, Abu Dhabi Airports will be strategic partner of Al Ain Football Club for three years, starting from league season 2013/2014.

The objective of the partnership is to enhance the experience of fans, attendees and players as the Al Ain Football Club prepares to move into their new official stadium, the state-of-the-art, 25,000 seat Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, which will be completed later this year.

H.E. Ali Majed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports, commented: “Abu Dhabi Airports’ sponsorship of the Al Ain Football Club is an affirmation of the Company’s commitment to promoting on a global scale all that Abu Dhabi has to offer. Abu Dhabi Airports looks forward to highlightingAbu Dhabi’s rich sports heritage to millions of international passengers travelling through the Capital’s airports each year, and ensuring that the Al Ain Football Club has the support needed to remain champions.”

The logo of Abu Dhabi Airports will be featured on the Club’s new kit, which will be unveiled to the crowd at the first league match of the coming season.
