The leaflet includes advice on protection against illegal car lifts as well as instructions on what to do in case you lose your luggage or personal belongings in a taxi. It also introduces visitors to the approximate price of trips, as well as the exchange rates. Furthermore, the leaflet explains to tourists how to contact the Tourism Police in Abu Dhabi for help, indicating the police website: www.hr.adpolice.gov.ae/TouristPolice. The public can view the leaflet on the website, or they can contact the tourism police by calling 8002626. Taxi services can be reached on the number: 600535353.

The leaflet of the Tourism Police Section at the Abu Dhabi Police features these 15 languages: Arabic, English, Russian, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Italian, Korean, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Filipino, Hindi, and Urdu.
Colonel Dr. Rashid Mohammad Borshid, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, said: “Preparing the leaflet comes within the developmental efforts made by the Abu Dhabi Police to improve the Tourism Police, and enhance security and awareness services provided to tourists. These efforts are made to provide tourists with comfort so they can have happy experiences as well as maintain societal security.”
He added: “In order to achieve further security and peace of mind, and in order to offer safe and secure tourism, the section has released this leaflet. It is written in a simple language allowing us to cooperate with this category, creating a secure feeling and avoiding accidents that tourists may encounter by communicating with them and providing them with preventive solutions.”

Borshid urged tourists not to hesitate to ask for help from the Tourism Police in emergency cases. “The Tourism Police Section is ready to act and provide services as quickly as possible, reflecting the bright image of the country. Tourists can reach the police via the Operations Room on 999 or call the Aman service on the toll free number 8002626 to reach the Tourism Police Section,” he explained.

“To better serve tourists, the leaflet will be distributed at all touristic locations, covering the Abu Dhabi International Airport, hotel rooms, Mina Zayed, in addition to embassies and consulates,” he added.
