The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi, has been recognized for excellence, winning two prestigious hotel awards within weeks of each other.
The bespoke Saadiyat Island address is amongst the winning hotels of the esteemed International Hotel Awards in the 2013 Arabian regional competition, being awarded Best Hotel in Abu Dhabi - competing against a number of hotels and resorts in the nation’s capital to receive this recognition.

The International Hotel Awards has 17 categories and up to three 5-star awards for each category are awarded on a national level before going on to compete on a regional level. In addition to categories for several types of specialty hotels and categories by hotel size, there are also categories for hotel architecture, construction, interior design, marketing and website.

The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort was also selected in the category of Best of the Best Award: One to Watch, by luxury travel agency network, Virtuoso.
Renowned for creating exceptional experiences, Virtuoso announced its select group of nominees at its seventh annual Best of the Best Hotel Awards in Las Vegas earlier this month. With this prestigious ‘One to Watch’ award, the captivating beachfront address joins an elite group of 50 world’s-best hotels out of Virtuoso’s extensive collection of more than 983 hotels, resorts, villas and private-island retreats in 100 countries.

Winners were revealed at a dinner held during the 25th annual Virtuoso Travel Week conference, which brings together thousands of Virtuoso’s member travel advisors and the world’s best travel providers to participate in the industry’s preeminent networking event.
