The Green Applications Higher Committee at the Ministry of Interior will organize on Monday, at 10:00 am, the Partners Forum on Environment and Green Applications at the Dubai Kempinsky Hotel. The Forum will be attended by Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, and Major General Khalil DawoodBadran, Director General of Finance and Services at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ and Chairman of the Green Applications Higher Committee, along with a number of MoI’s partners.
Several topics will be discussed during the forum, notably the Ministry of Interior’s environment and green applications strategy, with a view to acquaint partners with the relevant initiatives launched in this regard, and the role and potential partnerships in this area. The means to preserve the environment and prevent pollution will also be tackled during the forum, in line with the UAE’s National Strategy for Green Growth.
Major General Khalil DawoodBadran, Chairman of the Green Applications Higher Committee at the Ministry of Interior, asserted that this forum reflects the Ministry of Interior’s endeavor to adopt the best practices in the green applications and environment protection fields.
Major General Badran further indicated that the Ministry of Interior seeks optimal commitment to correct behaviors towards green applications, ultimately leading to reduce negative impacts of its operations on the environment. Hence, the Ministry of Interior becomes a forerunner in implementing the best sustainable environmental practices, in addition to conducting its operation responsibly, commensurate with its vision, and as per the environment, health and occupational safety regulations.
It is noteworthy that the team, which includes highly qualified officers, was formed to carry out a number of tasks namely; spreading the concepts and culture of the green applications across all sectors at the Ministry of Interior.
