Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, awarded 26 officers with their new ranks. The officers, from the Finance and Services Directorate General were promoted in accordance with the Ministerial Decree No. 440 for the year 2013.
During the ceremony, officers from the Engineering Projects, Finance, Procurement and Warehouses, Medical Services, Transport and Workshops and Clubs departments were promoted as follows: 12 officers were promoted to the rank of captain, 10 officers were promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant; and three assistants and a sergeant were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
Major General Badran congratulated the newly promoted officers, praising their efforts in discharging their duties. He asserted that the promotion reflects the attention dedicated by the higher leadership to its people; and recognition of their continuous efforts and dedication to enhance security and maintain national gains.
He also conveyed the greetings of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior to the promoted officers; urging them to exert further efforts to remain at the forefront of excellence. “This can be achieved through continuous dedication, and working with a one-team spirit to promote police work and ensure the success of all projects, as per the standards of leadership and excellence,” he said.
Major General Badran lauded the officers’ keenness and commitment to carry out their duties and improve the quality of services provided to the public, which have become an inherent characteristic to the Abu Dhabi Police work and strategy. Moreover, he added that the great attention devoted by the Higher Leadership to its human cadres by awarding them these promotions, reflects an appreciation for their sincere efforts in carrying out their duties.
The ceremony was attended by Brigadier Saeed Saif Al Nuaimi, Procurement and Warehouse Department Director, and Colonel Aref Saif Al Shamesi, Head of Clubs and Sports Activities Department at Abu Dhabi Police.
For their part, the officers expressed their pride in their new ranks, stressing that it represents an incentive for them to better perform their duties in police work, as per the Abu Dhabi Police strategy, to achieve a secure society, thereby enhancing public confidence in the police.
