The Strategy and Institutional Governance Department at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) received a delegation from Abu Dhabi Municipality and briefed them on some of the distinguished practices of the Authority in a number of departments related to the Municipality’s experience in the advanced government work and they are: roads, maintenance of roads and facilities, administrative services, assets and properties, and finally the Development and Corporate Performance Department.
The meeting was attended from the Roads and Transport Authority: Mr. Abdul MohsenYounes, CEO of Strategy and Corporate Governance, Ms. Sheikha Al Jarmen, Director of Development and Corporate Performance, Mr. Nabil Mohammed Saleh, Director of Roads and from the Municipality Mr.Eisa Mubarak Al Mazrouie,Executive Director – Municipal Infrastructure and Assets, Mr. Saeed Obaid Bin Ghubash, Director of Urban Planning-Cities Planning Department – and a number of officials and employees from both parties.
Mr. Abdul MohsenYounes said: The visit comeswithin the framework ofthe Authority’s keennessto holdjoint meetingsto developpartnerships withvarious government agenciesin order to exchangeexperiences and knowledgein all related areas, especially that the Authority’s experiencein the institutionaladministrative workbecamean attraction at the State’s level, locally and abroad, under the significant achievements embodiedon the groundled by a setofadvancedperformancesaccording tothehighestinternationalstandards.
The meeting includedseveralpresentationsby the Authority;wherethe Development and Corporate Performance Department gave a briefing about the organizational structureof the Authoritywhich includes sectors, agencies and departments and the administrative hierarchy , which guarantees the achievement of objectivesin accordance withthe set plans, as well as themechanism for dealing withstrategic partnersandhow to coordinatewith themin order to achieveoptimum utilizationto all parties.
The Roads Department alsogave a briefing on the No Objection Certificatessystemand conditions forapprovalontheinfrastructure worksand services, andthe implementation of the main schemefor road network, andcoordinationwithallservice departments, andprojectmanagementmechanismand its implementation.As for the Road Maintenance andManagementDepartment, it provided a brief aboutsustainabilityapplicationsinroad projectsand infrastructureandhowtoadopt, andprogrammingmechanismsroad maintenanceprojects, andcase-based systemstransferofassetsroadsandinfrastructurefrom the developersto the Authority.
The Assets and Properties Department also gave a presentation on the assets life cycles, their operation renewal, maintenance, mechanism of their assessment, balance between cost, risks and performance,
Meanwhile, the Administrative Services Department also tackled the documentation and archiving system and its outcomes represented in filing official documents to be available upon request in addition to the mechanism of providing spaces to store paper files and other related issues.
The Abu Dhabi Municipality commended the presentations delivered during the meeting and the rich experience and advanced scientific practices carried out by the Authority which placed it in the rank of the government entities with exceptional and outstanding corporate and institutional reputation locally and regionally.
