Total Abu Al Bukhoosh has donated Dh100,000 to the UAE Red Crescent Society to support its charity and humanitarian projects.
Mr Amer Ali Al Shaikh, Total Abu Al Bukhoosh’s general manager, gave a cheque for that sum to Mr Rashid Mubarak Al Mansoori, secretary general for domestic affairs at the Red Crescent, during a meeting that was also attended by Mr Mohammed Saeed Al Rumaithi, manager of the Red Crescent branch in Abu Dhabi. Besides the sum, relief aid was also donated by Total Abu Al Bukhoosh’s employees.
Mansoori hailed cooperation between the Red Crescent and Total Abu Al Bukhoosh, which he said continuously supports humanitarian and charity projects carried out by the Red Crescent inside and outside the UAE.
He said both institutions have a common responsibility to help the needy, adding that Total Abu Al Bukhoosh is one of the main supporters of Red Crescent projects, including those undertaken during Ramadan, when the UAE marked the Zayed Day for humanitarian work that marked the demise of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who “was total dedicated to charity work and promoting peace among all people.”
Mr Al Shaikh said Total Abu Al Bukhoosh is keen to participate in various humanitarian and charity activities managed by the UAE Red Crescent and all projects it undertakes inside and outside the country.
Mr. Sultan Al Hajji, Vice President (Institutional Development), Total United Arab Emirates said ,
