Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), which is part of the SEHA Health System and owned and operated by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company PJSC (SEHA), which is responsible for the curative activities of all the public hospitals and clinics in the Emirate of Abu Dhabiannounced that it joined forces with Dolphin Energy Limited to host special Eid Al Fitr celebrations for its patients.
The two parties came together as part of the hospital’s monthly Wanasa Program - an event designed to lift childrens’ spirits and help those suffering and in need. Dolphin Energy took the step to make a donation to the program which helped to buy Eid gifts and lay on festival style activities such as henna, face painting and nail art. Popular costumed cartoon characters and a magic show was also organized for the children to enjoy.
Commenting on the event, Ben Frank – CEO of SKMC said: “There are many important facets to the healing process, and while medicine is sometimes essential, the Wanasa program is a great example of the intangible medicine that helps comfort and uplift patients in their time of need. The Eid festivities were welcomed by all the children and we thank Dolphin Energy for their support.”
Outlining the company’s reasons behind its decision to support SKMC, Mr Ibrahim Ahmed Al Ansaari, General Manager, Dolphin Energy, UAE said: “The Holy Month of Ramadan is a time to reflect and to think about those in need of special support. We were delighted to get involved so that the children could enjoy themselves. We have a strong track record in community outreach across many forms and were privileged to help the hospital in this way.”
