Against a backdrop of a growing student population, ever-increasing diversity and quality of academic programs, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has honored its partners who propel its quality standards higher in line with its growth.
The university’s collaboration with its partners highlights the diverse industry engagement in the UAE and the excellence and ongoing commitment to ensuring that the students receive education of the highest caliber.
The third annual ADU Suppliers Awards have been hailed as the most successful thus far, featuring an even stronger turnout and spirited discussions on the best ways to elevate ADU’s service quality to compete with the elite of the world’s most prestigious institutions.
The honorees who garnered the top awards include Majid Information Technology (ICT category), University Book House (Textbooks & References), Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi (Hotel & Banqueting), Beautyline Stationery (Office Supplies & Consumables) and Universal Media (Marketing). However the judging panel’s decisions were extremely close, owing to praiseworthy competition from the runners-up in each category - namely Waves Computer, Friendship Bookshop, Mafraq Hotel, Xerox Emirates and Abu Dhabi Media Company respectively.
Gallant feats of reliability, efficiency and professionalism throughout the year were rewarded with Special Awards for Future Brand Hypermedia (Marketing), Graphic International Center (Copy & Printing) and Electrolux Maintenance & Commercial Services (Cleaning & Waste Recycling).
For consistently going above and beyond the call of duty and showing unwavering loyalty over the years, Mafraq Hotel has been awarded ADU’s Long Partnership Award.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Dr. Nabil Ibrahim, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University commented: “Service excellence is a group effort, and we mustcollectively embrace this exciting challenge of how to balance our growth in student numbers and programs on one hand, without compromising our quality on the other hand. Our students should never have to choose between quality and quantity, because it is not a zero-sum game and they deserve the very best of both worlds.”
Vice Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University, Dr Terry Motiuk concurred with these sentiments, adding: “By working in tandem with the best suppliers, we are going the extra mile to make our services more user-friendly, eco-friendly, community friendly and above all, student friendly.”
It is anticipated that the synergies among the strategic partners will pave the way for even greater advancements in quality, accuracy of delivery, reliability, customer service, and satisfaction.
