Commuters searching for a way to shorten their time on the road can now take advantage of two new routes Rotana Jet, the UAE’s growing airline, is debuting from Dubai – to Abu Dhabi and Sir BaniYas Island. These pioneering, time-efficient flights will be launched on August 1, the airline announced today.
For travelers from the capital, flightswill operate between Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi and Dubai Terminal Two on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The Abu Dhabi – Dubai flights RG 117 will depart Abu Dhabi Al Bateen Airport at 0925 hrs and arrive in Dubai at 0945 hrs. The return flights, RG 118 will depart Dubai International Airport Terminal Two on the same days at 1615 hrs and arrive in Abu Dhabi Al Bateen Airport at 1645 hrs.
“Demand for connecting cities within the UAE has steadily grown, and customers have been requesting a direct connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Dubai and between Dubai and Sir BaniYas Island for some time now. As a customer-driven airline, we are glad to be the first to facilitate this connectivity, which we believe will create a wide range of new options for the UAE’s tourism and business sectors,” said Rajendran Vellapalath, Rotana Jet’s Commercial and Planning Director.
Passengers will travel on a 50-seat Embraer Jet aircraft, which will also take Dubai-based visitors to Sir BaniYas Island from Dubai International Airport Terminal Twoon the same days as the Abu Dhabi flights.
“Customers travelling between Abu Dhabi and Sir BaniYas Island from Dubai International Airport will be able to connect to worldwide destinations on flights operating from Dubai Airport,” Vellapalathadded.
The Dubai – Sir BaniYas Island flights RG 119 will depart Dubai International Airport Terminal Two at 1220 hrs and arrive in Sir BaniYas Island at 1320 hrs. The return flights, RG 120 will depart Sir BaniYas Island on on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdaysat 1500 hrs and arrive in Dubai International Airport Terminal Two at 1550 hrs.
