The Special Tasks 9th Ramadan Football Championship kicks off in Al Ain. A total of 12 teams are participating in the championship, which is taking place in a covered hall of the Special Tasks Section.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan said: “Such Ramadan championships create an atmosphere of entertainment and empower love, fair and honest competition among participating teams. This championship has a witnessed an increase in the number of participating teams.” He wished the championship and its organizers the best of luck and success.
Major Saeed Nasser Al Esa’ie, Chief of Special Tasks Section, delivered a speech in which he reiterated the commitment of the Abu Dhabi Police, which is represented by the Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks, to encourage sporting events, consolidate unity and love among employees at the directorate and civil institutions in society, empower social connections, and enhance the spirit of fair sporting competitions during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Participating teams in the tournament represent the Al Ain Police Directorate; the Special Tasks Section; the Operations Department; the Community Police; the Government Establishments Protection; Al Ain Customs; Support Services- Al Ain; the Special Tasks Department; Al Maqam Team; Carrefour; Ajman University; and the Jordanian Community Team. In the first day of the competition, the Special Tasks Team defeated the Operations Team by 3 to 1.
