Abu Dhabi Residency Department Launches "You Are The Foundation" Initiative To Stimulate Personnel Creativity

The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs launched the initiative: “You are the Foundation” to stimulate personnel to exert further innovation and excellence in various work sectors.

Colonel Salim Ali Al Qattam Al Zaabi, Abu Dhabi Residency and Foreigners Affairs Director General, indicated that this initiative is in line with the police leadership’s directives to activate communication, interaction, and motivation among employees. It also underscores the commitment of the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi to communicate and interact with the Directorate General’s staff members to identify their needs, level of job satisfaction, and knowledge of regulations regarding the daily workflow.

“We must listen to staff members carefully to learn their perspective and work needs. We must also work to break down barriers between the employers and employees and improve work in order to provide excellent services to customers,” noted Colonel Al Zaabi.

Colonel Al Zaabi met with a number of non-commissioned officers, individuals, and civilians working for the Directorate General. During this meeting, he emphasized that this initiative is intended to instill the spirit of justice within employees, reinforce their sense of loyalty and belonging, develop their creative potential, motivate them to exert further excellence and innovation, provide creative ideas and constructive proposals, cope with the pressure of work, and improve customer service and reception to give an outstanding image of their institution.

Concluding, Colonel Al Zaabi reiterated the commitment of the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi towards its personnel to develop their abilities and skills. Employees are enrolled in training courses and encouraged to provide creative ideas and proposals, which contribute to the development of work, reduce complaints, increase customer satisfaction and the turnaround time of completing transactions, and provide superior services to customers.

The meeting was attended by Colonel Youssef Khoury, Deputy Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi.
