Wadi Adventure is making a splash in the Meetings Incentives Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) market, with more UAE companies looking to raft, kayak and surf their way through traditional team-building exercises than ever before. The popular adventure park has seen 30 per cent growth in corporate group bookings since opening in April 2012 and anticipates this figure to grow up to 50 per cent by the end of this year.
Wadi Adventure is the Middle East’s first man-made facility to offer white water rafting, kayaking and surfing to visitors, next to the stunning Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain. Boasting three white water rafting and kayaking runs, the park also features a surf pool with high wave generator, rope course, climbing wall, zip line and food and beverage outlets.
Wadi Adventure has quickly become a must-visit destination for UAE residents and visitors seeking a thrill. Now the Tamouh-developed facility has increased its MICE offering to include bespoke team building packages for the growing number of companies looking for team days-out-with-a-difference.
“The MICE market holds high-potential for Wadi Adventure, where we are currently seeing increasing interest,” comments Darren Cavill, General Manager of Wadi Adventure.
“Having quickly established ourselves as a must-visit destination with the UAE’s visitors and residents, professional sportsmen and enthusiasts, we now look forward to growing our business further into the group bookings market. We have refined our existing offering to accommodate growing interest from local and international companies.”
Wadi Adventure hosted Tamouh’s annual team-building event on May 30 2013, where more than 100 staff members took part in the event, enjoying a fun day out aimed at enhancing the way team members work together towards common goals.
With packages specifically designed to strengthen teamwork and communication skills, Wadi Adventure is challenging more groups with raft-building, kayaking, treasure-hunting and zip-lining tasks in between their business mapping and strategy sessions.
“Wadi team building exercises highlight the importance of working together through creating an environment that motivates people, whilst in an atmosphere of trust and confidence,” continues Darren Cavill. “Our summits event centre is the ideal spot for large-scale conferences and corporate meetings, and can host up to 1,000 people. We offer up an experience unlike any other.”
