Breakthrough fitness brand VIVAFIT is to launch its first branch in the UAE this October, raising the bar for health and lifestyle management options for women living in Abu Dhabi.
The women only Portuguese franchise will offer state-of-the-art health and fitness modules that are fully integrated with positive lifestyle change, weight loss management, nutrition, fitness
and coaching.
Otima Bhanot, Area Developer of VIVAFIT, UAE said, “We’re excited to be bringing VIVAFIT to the UAE. It is absolutely suited to this market and fills a big gap especially among UAE women. This is an advanced fitness centre created for women that specifically takes into consideration how she works, lives and takes care of her well-being. The centre’s 30 minute Interval Power Workout is aimed at busy women in Abu Dhabi and it changes the way they see workouts. It is a place where women will discover their ME-SPACE and feel good about themselves!”
Bhanot explained that the decision to introduce VIVAFIT to the UAE came about after extensive market research, and identified a strong need among women for a holistic approach that combines advanced fitness exercises with nutritional solutions. Alongside its signature circuit training, VIVAFIT also offers members Zumba dance-fitness classes as well as Body Vive, Body Balance along with Pilates.
Pedro Ruiz, the founder of VIVAFIT stated: “The concept of VIVAFIT is to make exercising enjoyable, so women are not subjected to the stereotypical monotony of most fitness programs. Our revolutionary methodology makes fitness ‘efficient’ so it is possible for a woman to attain the desired result not through daily gym visits but only 3 times a week for 30 minutes each time. This completely liberates a woman who is juggling multiple responsibilities of work and family.”
Ruiz added that this contract was only possible due to the diligent work of the Portuguese Government Foreign Trade and Investment Agency (AICEP) and the Portuguese Embassy. It came about as a result of the high level visit by a Portuguese trade mission to the UAE, which took place last December and was headed by Portugal’s Minister of State and Foreign Affairs Paulo Portas. VIVAFIT participated in the trade mission.
Bhanot explained that the centre’s long term plans include opening up three to four centers in Abu Dhabi to extend the programme’s reach to larger numbers of women, and it also includes inviting dedicated dieticians and nutritionists to help women change their lifestyle.
