The Community Police Department at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ launched its summer activities program with an awareness campaign targeting children under the theme “Making Use of Time”. This campaign is part of its annual plan for the current year, and coincides with the end of the school year and the onset of summer holidays.
Lt. Colonel Mubarak bin Muhairom, Head of the Department noted that the summer activity program aims to help students better exploit their leisure time, and to raise awareness on community and security activity among community members, as well as to acquaint them with the best means to protect themselves from the dangers of crime.
Lt. Colonel Mubarak bin Muhairom urged parents to develop their children’s skills, discover their talents and use the correct guidance methods to help them exploit their leisure time usefully. Furthermore, he underscored the Department’s keenness to acquaint children with the best means to take good advantage of their free time to gain skills and knowledge, benefiting them and their homeland.
It is noteworthy that the Community Police carries out this campaign on an annual basis, by distributing informational bulletins, including information ons the Community Police and means to communicate with them, either directly or through the department’s website, in addition to several other awareness activities.
