The Carnival organised by the Emirates Heritage Club at the Breakwaters here on the first day of Eid attracted a large crowd of people who came from various emirates.
The carnival is the festive culmination of the month-long cultural, religious and traditional events organised by the Emirates Heritage Club (EHC) to enliven the evenings of Ramadan.
The festivities at the EHC are organised under special directives of HH Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, deputy prime minister.
The Emirates Heritage Club was set up by Sheikh Sultan in 1993 for the protection and dissemination of UAE’s heritage among the future generations of the country.
The families who thronged the Breakwaters to join the carnival had an opportunity to participate in various events, which brought to life the reminiscences of the country’s rich heritage and tradition.
