Abu Dhabi Media Participates In The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2013

As the exhibition’s official media partner, brands from across the company’s publishing and broadcast portfolio take part in the six-day literary festival

 

Abu Dhabi Media is proud to be the official media partner for the 23rd Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, taking place from the 24th- 29th of April 2013, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is the fastest growing literary exhibition in the Middle East, and aims to develop the UAE’s publishing sector and promote reading in Abu Dhabi and its neighboring emirates.

Abu Dhabi Media is showcasing some of its extensive portfolio of brands at the event, including popular Arabic children’s magazine, Majid and the world renowned, National Geographic Al Arabiya magazine, which both have impressive stands at the exhibition to interact with visitors and showcase their publications.

Abu Dhabi Al Emarat TV will be on the ground throughout the six-day event, with a live studio interviewing the wealth of amazing writers and exhibitors at the fair, and a daily broadcast offering viewers the latest updates from the event from 7.00-7.30pm each evening. Abu Dhabi Classic FM also has a specially constructed live studio at ADNEC, and will be broadcasting a daily show complete with interviews with event visitors, authors and organizers.

Commenting on National Geographic Al Arabiya’s participation in the exhibition, Mohammed Al Hammadi, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine said: “We are honored to be part of the 23rd Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, and to showcase National Geographic Al Arabiya to visitors here. National Geographic Al Arabiya magazine is a renowned name across the region, and the event provides an ideal opportunity to connect with our readers, and further extend the reach of our educational, informative and entertaining content.”

Majid magazine has created a purpose built stand to engage its young readers throughout the event, where children can visit with latest issue of the magazine and enter a draw to win a range of
exciting prizes.

Abu Dhabi Media’s subsidiaries, Tawzea, the company’s distribution arm, and United Printing & Publishing (UPP), the region’s largest printing press, are also participating within the distribution section of the book fair, connecting with many of the key industry players visiting the event. UPP will be showcasing its state-of-the-art printing facilities, while Tawzea aims to connect with leading publishers from around the world about regional distribution opportunities.
