Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the Abu Dhabi International Sports Exhibition “ ADISE 2013” is set to launch on Tuesday, April 9 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in halls 10 and 11. The exhibition will run until April 12 where visitors and exhibitors are welcome from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm.
Organised by the UAE Jiu Jitsu Federation and supported by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the second edition of ADISE combines the exclusive educational and recreational activities along with the most important international and regional sports brands. Christophe Hamel will make his first appearance in the Arab World, bringing his extreme trampoline performance to the exhibition along with the world famous, French CrazyDunkers, the acrobatic slam dunk team who appeared at the last Olympic Games and Football World Cup. The exclusive sports event will offer a variety of sports activities including boxing, football freestyle, martial arts performances as well as bicycle performances during the 4 day event.
ADISE’s committee has dedicated an area of approximately 5000 sq. metres that will also include several sports activities such as bungee jumping, wall climbing, a mountain bike track, paddle tennis, miniaturecricket stadium,skateboarding and street ball tournaments with more than 70 teams and around 300 athletes from different sporting backgrounds expected to compete..
Additionally, the event will bring together more than 100 local and international exhibitors, including sports federations, clubs, government departments, sports equipment manufacturers, sponsors, event organisers, sports marketing agencies in different domains such as motorsports, watersports, outdoor and adventure sports, fitness and indoor sports, as well as sports products and equipment outlets.
Commenting on this event, Nada Khamees, Manager of ADISE 2013 said: “The Abu Dhabi International Sports Exhibition aims to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position on the global sports map and represents an important platform for competitions and sports discussion panels. ADISE 2013 will witness many sports activities and unique shows in its indoor and outdoor areas whereby we hope to attract the largest number of participants and institutions to this exclusive sports event.”
She added: “The ADISE 2013 committee is aware of the importance of the strategic partnership between the exhibition and sports media outlets and representatives, both having the same role in promoting this unique sports event as well as the management of the sports discussion panels. ADISE 2013 will witness a four day conference, in which we will develop around 15 discussion panels. During the first day, the ADISE conference will start with a discussion on the encouragement of Women’s sports in the UAE and the region followed by the Movement for Health, the importance of exercising in the UAE, as well as discussion panels on the World Football Academy.However, the second day will include a major discussion about Bidding for Major Sports Events in UAE and Developing a Strategy for Youth Olympic Sports in the Region, where many international and local decision makers in the world of Olympic Sports will participate in this session. Moreover, the third day will witness discussion panels on various topics such as Sports Sponsorship and Sports Marketing, Football Rehab and Injury Prevention, Increasing Attendance to Sports Events, Role of Media in Promoting Local Sports and Championships as well as a discussion on Football Technique Training and Developing Motor Sports in the Region. As for the last day ADISE will consist of three discussion panels about, Leisure Sports with Safety, Football Strength Training as well as a presentation of the Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award.
In fact, these discussion panels will feature 35 speakers coming from around the world to discuss these topics. Thus, some of the speakers will include H.H. Sheikha Shamsa Al Maktoum, Women’s Volleyball Groups Supervisor; Nada Zeidan, First Female GCC Rally Driver and Archer in Asian games;Dr Saf Naqvi, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre;Dr Bulent Elbasan,PT,PhD, Gazi University, School of Physiotherapy; Dr Murat Dalkilinc,PT, PhD, UAE Armed Forces.
