Building on its continued efforts to advance the profession of Internal Audit in the UAE and throughout the entire MENA region, the UAE Internal Audit Association (UAE IAA), a locally chartered organization and dully affiliated with the Global Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA-Global), announced today that preparations for the organization of the 14th Annual Regional Audit Conference are well underway, with an event program packed with highly respected and world-renowned key speakers.

The keynote address will be delivered by Mr. Lawrence Harrignton, who is an IIA-Global member of the Board. The event will be inaugurated by Reyad Al Mubarak.

This Premier Internal Audit & Governance Conference, to be held at the Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi on 15-17 April, 2013 is organized under the theme: Internal Audit - Shaping the Future. The following is a list of key UAE IAA partners and event supporters: Deloitte, Ernest ’&’ Young, PWC, Protiviti, Etihad Airways, Mubadala and NBAD.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Abdulqader Obaid Ali, President of the Board of The UAE IAA, said: "We are proud to organize this year’s 14th edition of our annual conference in Abu Dhabi, which has been a key player in promoting and providing the necessary support for the advancement of the Internal Audit practice."
