In line with its commitment to preserve the environment, Al Ain Properties in cooperation with the premises Property Manager, First Gulf Properties organised a programme at Mangrove Village to participate in Earth Hour 2013 on 23 March 2013 at 8.30 pm.
Residents of the Mangrove Village switched off the lights at their villas and joined a workshop on how to recycle paper conducted by the young Abdul Muqeet Mannan. The workshop included a screening on the Earth Hour initiative for the year 2013 while engaging the public in sustainable activities.
The event’s programme included amongst others, an opening act by Dubai Drums followed with a presentation by Averda on the environmental and recycling processes. Moreover, residents took part in forming the number “60” with pebble stencils on the sandy beach in celebration of this global environmental phenomenon.
Commenting on this initiative, Abdul Aziz Hussain, CEO of Al Ain Properties, said: “This year’s participation reflects our continuous commitment to spread awareness among our tenants by participating in this event. In addition, this initiative gave us the opportunity to further promote public awareness of environmental dangers and we hope that our company’s employees and residents will take part in this event by switching off their lights and making a pledge by going beyond the hour.”
