As one of the biggest sports shows in the region, the Abu Dhabi International Sports Exhibition (ADISE 2013), organised by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, will be presenting more than 15 specialised discussion panels featuring local and international speakers on sports and health for four days between April 9-12.
The discussion panels will cover a wide variety of topics which cover sports, healthy lifestyle tips, sports techniques and illnesses associated with sports activities.
Commenting on these sessions, HE Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mahmood, Vice President of the General Authority for Youth and Sports and General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said: “ADISE 2013 will offer a unique blend this year of important and interesting sports panel discussions and activities to participants, which reaffirms ADISE’s position as one of the biggest sports event on a global and regional level.”
HE added: “This event will also include the participation of various local and international sports influencers allowing ADISE to become an essential platform for the discussion of upcoming and strategic plans for the future of sports in the UAE and in the region.”
During the first day, the ADISE conference will start with a discussion about Encouraging Women Sports in UAE and the Region welcoming H.H Sheikha Shamsa Al Maktoum, Women’s Volleyball Group Supervisor at Al Wasal Club as well as Nada Zeidan from Qatar, first GCC female Rally Driver and Archer in the Asia Games along with many other local and International participants. Other sessions such as Movement for Health, emphasising the importance of exercising in the UAE, followed by discussion panels on the World Football Academy will complete the first day forum. The second day will include a major discussion about Bidding for Major Sports Events in UAE and Developing a Strategy for Youth Olympic Sports in the Region, where many international and local decision makers in the world of Olympic Sports will participate in this session.
Moreover, the third day of the event will witness discussion panels on various topics such as Sports Sponsorship and Sports Marketing, Football Rehab and Injury Prevention, Increasing Attendance to Sports Events, Role of Media in Promoting Local Sports and Championship as well as a discussion on Football Technique Trainings and Developing Motor Sports in the Region.
The last day ADISE will consist of three discussion panels about, Leisure Sports with Safety, Football Strength Training ending with a presentation of the Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award.
The media will play a prominent role in supporting and strengthening the position of Abu Dhabi International Sports Exhibition 2013, where a number of media representatives that cover sports news at local and international level will be managing these panel discussions. In addition, they will allocate part of these workshops to the discussion of the distinct role played by the media in support of sports development in the United Arab Emirates.
The second edition of the Exhibition will be held in Halls 10 and 11 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Compnay (ADNEC) with more than 100 local and international exhibitors. It will also host a large number of indoors and outdoors events and sports activities within an area of 15,000 square meters. Additionally, Abu Dhabi International Sports Exhibition 2013 will be expecting a large number of players and sports performers, including more than 50 sports teams and 15 sports federations and authorities.
