(19 February 2013)
Over 10,000 visitors expected to visit Al Bateen Executive Airport

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), today announced that Gulfstream has selected Abu Dhabi Air Expo to display its G650 aircraft for the first time in the Middle East and Africa. Gulfstream’s decision to debut its flagship model at the Abu Dhabi Air Expo is tied to the high demand in the Middle East for aircraft offering large cabins with long range and high speeds.

With the capacity to carry eight passengers and a crew of four, the G650 can depart Abu Dhabi and arrive in New York City on non-stop legs of 7,000 nautical miles (12,964 km). Gulfstream will also be displaying its G450 and G550 at the Abu Dhabi Air Expo.

Yousif Hassan Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Abu Dhabi Air Expo, General Manager of Al Bateen Executive Airport, said:

“ADAC is very proud that Gulfstream has chosen Abu Dhabi Air Expo as the platform from which to premiere its latest aircraft, as it is a testament that this show is a key opportunity for world-leading aviation companies to demonstrate their capabilities and newest technologies. The growth of this year’s Air Expo compared to last year’ clearly demonstrates a trust in the increasing importance of Abu Dhabi’s aviation market. ADAC looks forward to helping aviation leaders from around the world grow their businesses through providing this platform in which to engage in dialogue with potential partners.”

The second annual Abu Dhabi Air Expo, taking place from 5th March until 7th March 2013, at Al Bateen Executive Airport, Abu Dhabi’s dedicated business aviation airport.
