Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) announced today that ADAC will Host the 2013 Trinity Forum, the travel retail industry’s key annual conference which will take place from 29th to 31st January 2013 in Abu Dhabi. This year’s event will be held at the Yas Viceroy Hotel and International Media centre at the YAS Island Formula One circuit.
The Trinity Forum is jointly organized by Airports Council International (ACI) and the Moodie Report. It is set to attract 350 delegates to advance discussions and a mutual understanding of development in the airport retail industry.
With senior representatives from the world’s largest duty free retailers, leading international brands and the most progressive airports attending from around the world, the event has established itself as the preeminent industry platform.
Mohammed Al Bulooki, Chief Commercial Officer of ADAC commented: “Exchanging knowledge between travel retail experts and professionals during the Trinity Forum is an exciting and critical opportunity for the industry, as it allows all stakeholders to identify new trends, contribute to the customer experience on the ground, and ultimately maximizes revenue growth in a challenging global market. This is a key focus for ADAC which strives to create unique world class shopping experiences for its diverse audiences, especially as it refines plans for a world class retail experience in the new Midfield Terminal.
Following a highly successful World Route Development Forum, ADAC is committed to showcasing Abu Dhabi as a dynamic and economically strong tourism and business destination by hosting such high profile events, and welcoming aviation industry professionals from across the globe here in Abu Dhabi.”
The key conference topic for 2013 will be “Thought Leadership in Travel and Retail,” and the line-up of speakers includes some of the most influential executives in the airport commercial world including keynote speeches from key representatives of ADAC. Topics for discussion will cover the industry’s evolution since the first Trinity Forum in London ten years ago, and the major challenges it continues to face in driving footfall, penetration and spend by engaging customers and using the latest insights into shopping behavior.
