Guests staying at any hotel or hotel apartment in Abu Dhabi from January 13-20 will be able to enter, for free, the star-studded Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, featuring Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods, which runs at Abu Dhabi Golf Club from January 17-20.

Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi), the Championship organiser, is allowing guests to enter free for the duration of their stays. Proof of booking - which can include an Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship hotel voucher, a hotel reservation, room key or a simple payment receipt – has simply to be presented at the Championship entrance.

“Abu Dhabi is renowned for its warm Arabian hospitality and this unbelievable offer will let long-time fans and newcomers to the game see, for free, the giants of golf battle it out,” said Faisal Al Sheikh, Events Manager, TCA Abu Dhabi. “We want anyone staying with us during Championship week to experience the giants of golf, including five of the world’s top 10 players or just enjoy the family-friendly entertainment in our bigger-than-ever Championship Village.”

Alongside McIlroy and Woods, other star players eyeing the US $2.7m prize fund on offer in the opening leg of the PGA European Tour’s ‘Desert Swing’ include world number seven, Justin Rose, number eight, Jason Dufner, and former world number one, Ernie Els.
