Abu Dhabi Ports Honours Emirati Manager For Earning Harvard Degree

Tony Douglas, CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) has honoured Khaleefa Al Romaithi, Senior Manager of Public Affairs in ADPC for completing his business degree from Harvard Business School, top US-based Business School in the world.

Al Romaithi has successfully attained his leading international business certificate in December. He completed an 18 month-long, part-time course in the “Program for Leadership Development”, “Finance for Senior Executives” and “Authentic Leadership Development”, which is the equivalent of an executive MBA.

On this occasion, Al Romaithi said: “I am very proud to have graduated from one of the top universities in the world. Receiving this award today from my employer ADPC is also a source of great appreciation and respect from me, as it reflects how keen ADPC is to developing its human capital.”

Tony Douglas commented: “I would like to congratulate Khaleefa on graduating from Harvard, which a source of pride for ADPC. This shows how committed ADPC is to empowering its national staff. We are confident that Khaleefa will make a profound difference to ADPC’s operations with his new skills, especially when combined with his practical expertise and professional efficiency.”

“The award shows how committed we are to training our Emirati colleagues to reach their full potential, and we will always provide the necessary support to enhance our team’s skills through various methods. This includes providing them with training and facilitating scholarships in leading academic institutes around the world, which will reflect in ADPC’s performance and will increase our operational efficiency, hence augmenting UAE’s position as a leading business destination in the world.”

Al Rumaithi is responsible for managing ADPC’s public affairs. He joined Harvard Business School in August 2011 and graduated upon completion of the required academic programmes. He was part of a batch comprising 120 key executive of different companies from all over the world.
