The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi signed four Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with Mubadala Development Company; National Central Cooling Company PJSC “Tabreed”; Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC) and Bunya Enterprises LLC at DoT’s headquarter in Abu Dhabi; this step comes within the continuous coordination efforts between the government entities and the private sector in Abu Dhabi.

The MoU(s) aim at reinforcing cooperation between government entities and the private sector to establish a strategic partnership that works on developing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for projects and sharing the knowledge.

The MoU plans and organizes the suitable mechanism for receiving, and studying the NOC and the technical assessment; it also specifies the time frame during which the application will be studied automatically through special software. In addition, a technical team at both parties will be assigned to monitor the performance level.

The automated NOC system in the DoT thrives to maximize business efficiency by using the right planning approach and the highest international engineering standards which is expected to reduce effort and time spent on construction of infrastructure development projects.

In this regard, DoT seeks to cooperate with government entities and the private sector in Abu Dhabi to benefit from their support in different business areas, the MoU comes as a part of DoT’s efforts to improve operational and administrative requirements, in line with DoT’s strategic plan.
