Al Ain Zoo will be offering visitors from around the UAE an unforgettable experience on the upcoming long weekend break starting November 15, marking the occasion of Hijri New Year - the day that symbolises the beginning of a new Islamic calendar year (1434).
With temperatures dropping, Al Ain Zoo offers an array of daily surprises, activities and shows, with many of the animals at their most active at this time of year. Highlights include the Mixed African exhibit, the Giraffe Feeding area, the Arabian Wolf exhibit and the recently launched hippopotamus exhibit, where five hippos are settling into their new home.
Following the success of Eid Al Adha activities, the Al Ain Zoo offers on the Hijri New Year and long weekend break, a great opportunity for families and friends to enjoy the sights and sounds of a busy zoo and discover the rest of Al Ain city.
Al Ain Zoo is a family destination, providing entertainment and learning experiences in a natural outdoor environment. The Zoo’s collection numbers over 4,300 animals, and is home to an internationally recognised conservation programme focusing on the wildlife of the world’s arid regions, including research, breeding, and the reintroduction of threatened species to their wild habitats.
