V8 Supercar drivers battled it out earlier today at Yas Marina Circuit for the last remaining tickets to the 2012 Formula 1TM Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Starting Friday, the drivers - 28 in total - will be racing in the official Grand Prix support race.

All grandstand tickets have been sold, and less than 400 tickets are available in the Al Jood and Al Dihifaya Category 1 sections. Located within the Main, West and North Grandstands, Category 1 Al Jood and Al Dhiyafa three-day tickets offer both prime views of the start finish line and luxuries such as balcony seating, air-conditioned lounges, complementary food and beverage service, and complimentary parking. Category 1 three day tickets are available at AED 4,420.

According to the Circuit, an increase in international ticket sales and a star-studded After-Race concert line up has put extra pressure on local ticket availability.
