The Sheikha Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation (SSHF) announced recently the launch of the “Art for All Art Buses”, a group of four buses that will be spread across the Abu Dhabi Emirate giving elementary school students the chance to display their artwork. Art for All is the premiere community arts program held under the guidance and leadership of Her Highness Sheikha Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan.
Last year, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), SSHF conducted an elementary school art competition where students from across the emirate had the opportunity to submit their best art pieces. Having won the competition, Amna Naser Al Ali from Al Marwah School, Hasna Saeed Al Rashedi from Al Noor School, Huda Da’ale from Khadeejah Al Kubrah School and Marwan Abdul Malik Ali Al Mukhaini from Ibn Khaldoon School will have their winning artwork displayed on the Art Buses.
Her Highness Sheikha Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan said: “I strongly believe that individuals are more likely to develop a love and appreciation of the arts when they are exposed to it at a young age. I hope that through this initiative, we will motivate our children to pursue arts and further develop their talents, while at the same time touch the hearts of the general public and encourage them to be more involved in the arts.”
