Worshippers celebrating the start of Eid Al Adha at Abu Dhabi’s majestic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque this Friday will be treated to Arabic coffee and dates after the Salat Al Eid prayers as part of Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority’s (TCA Abu Dhabi) EidFest Abu Dhabi initiative.
Starting from 6am, the dedicated booth – which is part of the emirate-wide EidFest Abu Dhabi programme that will see 10 other similar TCA Abu Dhabi tents running across the capital and Al Ain as well as attraction offers, hotel deals and special celebratory shows – will give out an expected 40,000 dates and cups of coffee to worshippers.
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the world’s largest mosques, will be closed to visitors on Friday, October 26 and reopen with its complimentary visitor experience from Saturday, October 27 with tours at 10am, 11am, 2pm and 5pm.
