ABBA’s Agnetha Fältskog has announced that she is returning to the recording studio after an eight year hiatus, but fans’ hopes for a reunion were quickly quashed by ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus who denied that the group would ever reform. UAE-based ABBA fans can still get their disco fill when Björn Again take to the stage at ADNEC this Friday.

Organised by ADNEC Live! Events, Björn Again are back by popular demand having performed last year to fantastic audience feedback at ADNEC’s ICC Abu Dhabi. The show is an award-winning, light-hearted satirical parody of ABBA and a brand in its own right. While ABBA only toured for a total of 10 months in 16 countries, during Björn Again’s 24 years as a show, they have performed in 70 countries and performed more than 4,700 times. The show was created and founded by Rod Stephen in 1988 in Melbourne, Australia.

Original ABBA member, Björn Ulvaeus recently said in an interview with Music-News.com: "We are the only group of that status that has never been reunited. I think that is cool. It is a strength for ABBA that you remember those young, ambitious, energetic people during the 70s rather than some feeble old folks who feel compelled to get up and play all the time”.

Each Björn Again show promises an authentic ABBA experience with an extensive list of ABBA’s best-loved hits, making it the closest to the real thing that ABBA fans can get. The spectacular 90-minute performance mirrors ABBA’s stage concerts with renditions of many crowd-pleasers, including, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, Dancing Queen and Voulez-Vous.

Ticket prices for the show start from AED 80. For a premium experience, concert-goers should opt for View Lounge tickets, available for to AED 475, which provide plenty of space for dancing queens and include canapés and house beverages. Four different hotel packages are on offer too, which include a one night stay for two people and two tickets, starting from AED 580. Following the show, the official After-Party will be held a short boogie away at the Aloft Hotel, so ABBA fans certainly will be partying all night. Concert-goers are also advised to take advantage of a 20 per cent discount on pre-show drinks at Hyatt Capital Gate’s Privé Bar from 5pm to 8pm.
