On Friday 7th December clubs across the country will look longingly at the Capital, as Creamfields Abu Dhabi today confirmed the hottest, sharpest electronic music talent from across the region who will join David Guetta and Armin van Buuren for the biggest dance event of the year.
As news filtered through that 14 of the region’s hottest DJs would be joining the line up taking up a spot in the electronic music festival line-up, social media was abuzz as an excited UAE clubbing community prepared for one of the biggest nights of their year. That tickets for this David Guetta and Armin van Buuren -headlined festival are only AED 275 also confirmed to electronic music fans that nowhere would they experience a festival as affordable as Creamfields Abu Dhabi.
An official spokesperson for the electronic music festival commented “Now celebrating its fourth year, Creamfields Abu Dhabi has always combined the hottest contemporary dance music, with spectacular live stages and arenas and supreme value for money, without compromising on quality for the fans. It is now firmly established as the number one electronic music event in the region. Today’s announcement, alongside that of David Guetta and Armin van Buuren earlier in September, confirms the festival’s commitment to the regional dance scene. Tickets have been selling fast throughout September, and we urge electronic music fans to buy soon to avoid missing out”.
The full line-up will see all forms of electronic dance music represented across the House Arena and Live Stage, with DJs coming from all corners of the region to perform in Abu Dhabi. maDJam is one of the hottest DJs in Lebanon and has headlined some of Beirut’s biggest club nights. He regularly headlines international events such as the Bacardi Festival and the Red Bull Air Race, and has performed across the Middle East and Europe.
Described by MTV as ‘one of the most promising electronic music artists for 2011’ and by DJ Mag as one of the ‘Top 5 DJs to watch in 2011’, Max Vangeli has worked with the biggest names in dance having debuted alongside Tiësto and AN21 and collaborated with British chart toppers Example, Calvin Harris and the Dirty South. Max frequently performs at Pacha Ibiza and clubs across Europe.
Antoine Josefsson aka ‘AN21’ frequently tours with Max Vangeli and is the brother of Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello. Together the siblings have released big club hits including Valodja, Flonko and Swing N Swoosh.
Hitting all the right notes with fans and peers alike, Russian sensation ARTY is the darling of the dance world and one of its rising stars. He first lit up dance floors back in 2009 with tracks such as Gentle Touch, Get On and Flip Flop.
Riva Starr is one of the most talented re-mixers around, famed for his self-invented and unique passion for re-invention having worked with the material of Usher, the Gossip and Estelle amongst others.
Egyptian duo Aly & Fila bring their uplifting blend of sweeping trance to the House Arena. Since they burst onto the scene in 2003 with their massive hit Eye of Horus they have worked with the likes of Armin van Buuren, Blank & Jones, Johan Gielen, Tall Paul and more.
Fans are also looking forward to seeing some of the country’s favorite club and party DJs including, Genie, Stacktraxxx, Angelo & Asphyxia, Big Al, Ronin & Nesta, Mister Outlaw, Mark Pickup, Natalie Brogan and Immaculate Touch.
Creamfields Abu Dhabi would not be complete without the weird and the wonderful. Organizers confirmed that 2012 would be no different with giant laser robots, stilt walkers, laser and light shows, fun rides, photo booths and fancy costumes through to ‘chill out’ lounges, ‘oxygen bars’, ice creams and a variety of food and drink options.
The festival is for fans 18 years and above, with affordable tickets on sale in two categories. Prices start at only AED 275 for general admission, which will allow close-up access to the stage, while AED 595 for VIP standing (21+) will allow fans to party on an elevated platform with a dedicated beverage area.
