Region-based medical practitioners have the chance to immerse themselves in up-to-the-minute medical thinking as Abu Dhabi’s Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC) prepares to host the acclaimed Advance Medicine programme in November.
ICLDC has joined hands with UK’s Hammersmith Medicine to offer the three-day workshop, which runs concurrently with the third opportunity this year for junior doctors to take the MRCP Part 1 & Part 2 tuition in preparation for the examination for Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP).
Hammersmith Medicine’s Professor Karim Meeran confirmed that he is expecting a full house across all three programmes, which are accredited by HAAD for 25 and 21 CME hours respectively.
Advanced Medicine is designed for physicians, General Practitioners and healthcare professionals.
“This is an excellent opportunity to obtain continued medical education credits here in the UAE,” Professor Meeran said.
The programmes are scheduled for November 11-13 2012 at Abu Dhabi’s ICLDC - a state-of-the art centre for the treatment of diabetes. The facility offers a purpose-built lecture theatre, interaction areas and offers easy access to a number of hotels and airport.
“The courses are proving to be a major draw for regional doctors who get a dual benefit of CME hours and globally-recognised certification,” Professor Meeran concluded.
