As part of its social responsibility strategy and its goal of contributing to the benefit of different segments of the community, the Ministry of Finance (MoF), represented by the Human Resources Department, organised a number of charitable activities throughout Ramadan at its Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices.
The activities organised by the Ministry included a series of meetings every Thursday that aimed to revive the virtues of this Holy Month. During the weekly meetings, MoF held religious and cultural competitions where the winners were awarded with vouchers from Carrefour stores. In addition, MoF hosted two iftar campaigns; the first one was for MoF employees and staff and the other was held at a mosque for the general public.
Fatima Al Sawaya, Director of Human Resources at MoF congratulated the UAE citizens and the Muslim community on the occasion of Ramadan, indicating her hopes that the Holy Month would bring prosperity many blessings and for the UAE.
Commenting on this initiative, she said: “The Ministry of Finance’s strategy behind developing its various CSR initiatives is to provide its employees with a chance to interact and bond with different segments of the society, and to become more socially responsible as individuals. Throughout our many activities, we have truly seen the noble, humanitarian spirit that our employees possess, and their keenness to hope all those in need.”
MoF’s Human Resources Department will be giving out Ediya (Money provided during Eid) for workers and drivers prior to the end of Ramadan.
