The National Bank of Abu Dhabi, the Number One Bank in the UAE, participates in the 11th Women Exhibition at the Dubai Ladies Club in Jumeirah from 5th to 8th March.
The 11th Women Exhibition, organised under the patronage of H.H Sheikha Hessa Bint Maktoum Bin Jumaa Al Maktoum, aims to provide small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a platform to introduce new products to the market.
NBAD’s participation in this exhibition is in line with its strategy to reach entrepreneurs women across the UAE and facilitate the growth of the SME sector in the country.
“NBAD is an integral part of the UAE fabric and as a financial services provider we are committed to support this vital segment and develop the capabilities of small and medium enterprises,” said Haitham Al Refaie, the Head of Business Banking Group at NBAD. “SMEs play a significant role in the growth of the national economy and empowering SME Women businesses with the best financial and banking tools in the market promotes and maintains an entrepreneurship culture among UAE citizens.”
Recent statistics reveal that SMEs contribute more than 46% to the UAE’s GDP and account for about 90% of all businesses in the country.
NBAD has proactively initiated several programmes and services aimed for the SME sector. It has launched e-Business Banking services, Visa Business Credit Card and Rent Finance. The Bank also offers three tailored made current accounts: Business Basic, Business Advantage, and Business Preferred which suit and fulfill diverse business needs in the market.
In addition to banking products, the Bank has partnered with major financial institutions and agencies in the UAE to expand services to SMEs; such as Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, Ras Al Khaima Free Zone, Dubai Chamber and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development. Furthermore, NBAD has opened dedicated Business Banking Centers in Abu Dhabi’s Mina, Corniche, Khalifa Street, Industrial City of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah and in Dubai’s Jebel Ali, Sheikh Zayed Road and Bur Dubai.
“Female entrepreneurs are actively looking for opportunities to grow their businesses and we are here today to provide them with smart banking solutions that suit their business needs,” says Sarah Wadi, the Head of Business Development and Marketing of Business Banking Group at NBAD.
She adds: “Women play a major role in the development of the economy as working mothers and entrepreneurs; therefore the Bank seeks to provide them with equal resources to enable them to produce and grow within a competitive market, as well as contribute effectively to benefit their family and the community.”
The 11th Women Exhibition is organised by Thoraya Alawadhi Group. During the four days exhibitors showcase their new products and services such as clothing, jewellery, beauty and nutrition products.
