\Baniyas Investment and Development Company (BIDC) – the investment arm of the Baniyas Sports Club – has announced the opening of its awaited food court at Bawabat Al Sharq Mall (BAS Mall) in Bani Yas City, Abu Dhabi. The new food court will host some of the most prominent names in the food and beverage world which creates a vast diversity in the available dining options at the mall.
Spreading over 1,776 sq. m, BAS Mall food court was specially designed to feature an island in the middle of the mall. The concept of the island was implemented conveying the image of an oasis which resembles BAS Mall in general and its food court in particular. This distinguished interior designing and fit-out also provide families with the required privacy to enjoy their meals in a delightful discrete atmosphere.
Having 21 outlets and a total of 1,260 seats, BAS Mall food court will be the home of some most delicious American, Indian, Chinese and Italian food and beverage outlets. Till now, SUBWAY, Il Forno, Yo-Good, Juice Zone, Top That! Pizza and Chopsticks have already opened to provide the shoppers with a distinctive dining experience; moreover, Hatam and Wendy’s will be opening soon adding to the variety at the food court.
Commenting on the opening, Waleid Gamal Eldein, Deputy CEO at Baniyas Investment and Development Company said, “BIDC is again delighted with the pace of openings at BAS Mall. When we first thought about building a mall in Bani Yas City, we were thinking of boosting the economy of the city in general by creating a shopping hub that caters to all the surrounding areas. Hence, we can confidently say that the importance of the new food court at BAS Mall will not only be restricted to the mall shoppers as it will increase the variety on offer in Bani Yas City and widen the dining selection for the catchment area.”
BAS Mall food court was designed by the renowned Australian interior designing firm Saunders Global to produce a combination of dramatic contemporary and traditional design with every section giving it a distinctive style and a unique atmosphere. Whereas, the interior fit out was done through Cloisall Co. L.L.C, one of the most prominent names in interior fittings in the United Arab Emirates.
Bawabat Al Sharq Mall is part of the BAS Project which spreads over 108 hectares in Bani Yas City. The mall will host over 240 prime retail shops and facilities over two floors covering 70,000 square meters of retail area. Due to the mixed nature of its facilities and retail activities, Bawabat Al Sharq Mall caters to the various needs of all age groups and segments of society. It creates a regional shopping hub and entertainment destination for the whole family at Bani Yas City which boosts the city’s economy and places it on the touristic map in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
