Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), the operator of Abu Dhabi’s five airports, announced today its Emiratisation targets for the year. The company plans to have 30% of its workforce comprising of Emiratis by December 2011.
ADAC’s Human Resources department has prepared a number of strategies and tactics to achieve the targets and fill key roles across the company’s growing airports. This year’s Tawdheef, Abu Dhabi’s leading career event taking place between 25-27 January, will be a strategic focus for the company’s efforts to attract national talent as it is confirmed as a key sponsor of the event. Applicants will be able to view and apply for jobs with ADAC electronically on the spot through an efficient, convenient process.
Mohammed Al Marri, Vice President of Human Resources commented:
“As a national company we are proud to have set a 30% Emiratisation target for this year, which we are very confident in achieving. Participating in Tawdheef, which occurs at the beginning of the year, provides us with an ample amount of time to process, evaluate and offer potential hires attractive packages for the roles we have on offer. This is very important as we strive to have the best talent and in turn, be the employer of choice in the Emirate.”
As part of its human resources strategy for this year, ADAC is also in the process of redesigning the careers portal on its website to improve the job seeking experience for future employees. The system will also provide a streamlined process for the company’s recruitment team to review applications.
