Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), announced today that it received the awards for Best Airport Marketing for both the Middle East & the Asian Subcontinent, and for the entire Asian region during the 9th Routes Asia Conference at South Korea. The award was delivered to ADAC in recognition of the company’s active and effective efforts in developing airline and airport marketing initiatives to promote Abu Dhabi International Airport, its primary asset, and attract new airlines and passenger traffic to the international airport, and subsequently generating more visitors to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The Routes Airport Marketing Awards have become synonymous with recognizing and rewarding the highest standards of marketing activities undertaken by airports as it bases its selection upon reviewing airlines’ feedback on these activities of the nominated airports. Abu Dhabi Airports Company was selected as the overall winner in the entire Asian region among the winners of the respective regions which were Beijing International Airport, Singapore Changi Airport and Christchurch Airport.
Dave Stroud, Executive Vice President, Airports, UBM Aviation, said: “The standard of marketing activities undertaken by airports never fails to impress me. Abu Dhabi Airports Company is a worthy winner, and I am hopeful for its team that their efforts will encourage many new routes and developments at the airport.”
George Karamanos, Vice President Corporate Marketing & Communications at ADAC, said: “We would like to thank our airline partners for recognizing with this award Abu Dhabi Airports Company’s long investment in airline marketing. It is something special when the recipients of our marketing activities themselves actually vote for us. Our success is a result of our commitment to offering comprehensive developmental and marketing support to our airline partners on one hand, and the significant contribution of our stakeholders in Abu Dhabi on the other. No wonder Abu Dhabi is the right place to develop and has the right people to support the airlines.”
The Routes Airport Marketing Awards was announced at the 9th Routes Asia Conference in Incheon, South Korea, with the attendance of over 400 aviation professionals.
