The Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) the leading oil and gas producer in the region, is marking its 6th consecutive participation in SPE Middle East Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Conference and Exhibition (MEHSSE) as a Titanium Sponsor.
The 2012 MEHSSE will take place 2–4 April at the Beach Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The 6th edition of the event will explore the theme ‘Sustaining World Energy through an Integrated HSSE and Business Approach’.
The opening ceremony will be addressed by distinguished leaders as key note speakers including H.E. Dr. Rashid Ahmed Bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water, HE Abdulla Nasser Al Suwaidi, ADNOC’s Director General, Ali Al-Jarwan, the Conference Chairman and CEO of ADMA-OPCO, and Ganesh Thakur 2012 SPE President and Global Advisor, Chevron Energy Technology Company.
Over the 3-day conference, the agenda includes an executive plenary session discussing the conference theme and six panel sessions. The technical agenda will also comprise of 21 technical sessions and various poster presentations.
“The conference is expected to create a forum to review challenges and opportunities of various aspects of HSSE relevant to government officials, executives managers, engineers and professionals, and all those who have substantial influence on the continuous progress of the oil and gas global industry,” said Mr. Al Jarwan who has served on the SPE International Board as director of the Middle East region from 2004 to 2006, and the chairman of the SPE Middle East Board since 2007.

According to the organisers, the event is looking to attract delegates from more than 150 companies from around the world.
An exhibition will run alongside the conference showcasing the latest in innovative HSE technologies, processes, and applications.
ADNOC is also co-hosting with SPE this year a new community initiative which is introduced for the first time, a 2 km ‘Fun Run’, to promote corporate social responsibility whilst encouraging health and fitness. The Fun Run takes place on 3 April at the Abu Dhabi Breakwater, and is open to all oil and gas professionals and their families.
