Etihad Airways staff planted around 200 trees as part of a “Greener Together” campaign held as part of the airline’s UAE 40th National Day celebrations.

The campaign, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Municipality, was also supported by the Abu Dhabi Police. Etihad and municipality staff planted trees in three locations around the Etihad head office and accommodation.

Khaled Al Mehairbi, Etihad’s Senior Vice President Government Affairs said “Etihad is committed to preserving the environment and this event was a good opportunity to get our staff directly engaged in the local community and environment.”

Etihad’s National Day celebrations also included an event for staff and families featuring an array of activities including poetry recitals, traditional dance performances, local food and henna corners and various activities for young children.
