Conference to address the most topical issues for Corporates in light of the Financial Crisis

The 3rd Middle East Investor Relations Society Conference and Awards Ceremony will be supported this year by ME-IR Society member and banner sponsor National Bank of Abu Dhabi. The event will be held at the Yas Island Hotel, Abu Dhabi on Monday 21st November, 2011.

The non-profit organisation, aimed at supporting the development, implementation and sharing of best practice Investor Relations (IR) standards across the region, will host a morning conference consisting of panels filled with regional market experts. The afternoon ceremony, presented by Brandy Scott of Dubai Eye, will recognize Middle East companies practicing the highest standards of IR. Corporate winners from each country will be based on results of an independent global IR survey led by Thomson Reuters Extel and voted for by approximately 350 investors globally. - Institutional Investor Panel - Moderated by Hasnain Malik - Head of MENA Research, Citigroup
- Challenges faced by Middle East Companies – Panel moderated by Oliver Schutzmann, Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, SHUAA Capital
- A panel discussing the Competition for Capital and the Importance of Executing an Effective IR Strategy for 2012 - Moderated by Peter Gotke, VP, Bank of New York Mellon.

The ME-IR Society operates as a platform to provide support to listed and unlisted firms, family offices, investors, analysts, advisors, participants of the buy and sell side communities, regional governments and Exchanges.
Around 140 Corporates are expected to attend from the society’s different chapters including Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, and Jordan. The UAE is also expected to be heavily represented thanks to the support of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and Dubai Financial Market who will be inviting their listed companies.
