The leading professional services firm Deloitte will this week hold its 2011 Middle East Partners Meeting in the UAE capital with some 170 senior executives from over 20 countries taking part. The two-day meeting, themed ‘History of Tradition, Land Of Opportunities,’ will run at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi from October 26 as Deloitte celebrates more than 85 years in the Middle East.
“Deloitte and the UAE mark major anniversaries this year with the Emirates readying to celebrate its 40th National Day. It was therefore only natural that we select Abu Dhabi, the country’s capital for this meeting,” said Omar Fahoum, Chairman and CEO, Deloitte Middle East who will chair the event.
“Looking back on four decades of remarkable achievements, Abu Dhabi has grown to become an international business hub, a flourishing cultural centre and a leading economic force in its own right. Our choice of Abu Dhabi also demonstrates Deloitte’s commitment to the UAE and strong belief in its infrastructure, fundamentals, and services to successfully deliver an event of this nature.”
Meanwhile, Deloitte has revealed it is to move its offices to Sowwah Island – Abu Dhabi’s new financial district. “This is further evidence of Deloitte’s strong belief in Abu Dhabi’s strategic investments which we are backing up with the recent launch of a solid Emiratisation programme within the company,” added Fahoum.
